Let's Get Started

Hello Ladies,

Thanks to Rosario for suggesting we use a blog to discuss our book selection. I think it is a really great idea and I hope it works out for everybody. Here is the first book I would like to propose:

"Adventures in Natural Childbirth: Tales from Women on the Joys, Fears, Pleasures and Pains of Giving Birth Naturally". Edited by Janet Schwegel with foreword by Pam England.

I found the book on amazon.ca but I also saw it at Chapters.ca. To my knowledge it is not available at the Ottawa Public Library.

If cost becomes an issue, then we can discuss an alternative idea for the bookclub. One thing we can do is we all pick our own book we want to read and a month later, we each produce a "book report" that we can discuss together. We can take turns giving out the book report. That might encourage us to purchase that particular book while having an ongoing discussion of the various books we choose to read.
